Meet the Women Behind the Gala
Organizing Team
Emily van Putten
Emily is the founder and driving force behind the Women in IT Gala, created to celebrate, connect, and empower women in tech. With nearly two decades of experience in IT, she is a thought leader in diversity, inclusion, and modern leadership, dedicated to reshaping the industry into a space where women don’t just enter, but thrive, lead, and redefine the future.
As a speaker, mentor, and advocate, Emily challenges gender norms and pushes for systemic change. Her work extends beyond this event: She actively builds communities, amplifies underrepresented voices, and ensures that women in tech receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve.

But no great movement is built alone. With her energy, vision, and commitment, Megan has been indispensable in making this gala a reality. Together, she and Emily form a powerhouse duo: Ensuring every detail reflects their shared mission, with plenty of passion, purpose, and a lot’s of fun along the way.

Ten years in IT, and she knows success isn’t just about technology; it’s about people. Customers choose someone who understands their challenges, thinks ahead, and helps them grow. She’s passionate about empowering women in IT, making sure more women have a seat at the table and a voice in shaping the future of tech.
She heard about the Women in IT Gala at an early stage and, without hesitation, offered her help. This is typical of Megan; always ready to roll up her sleeves and get involved where it matters. The collaboration with Emily felt like a match made in heaven. Two driven, passionate women working together to create something extraordinary.
The same drive fuels Megan as a girls’ football coach. These girls are the future. She teaches them to think ahead, work together, and claim their space.
For her, it’s more than a job or a game; it’s her mission: Women don’t just belong in the IT field or on the football field, they can lead both and they should never let anyone make them think otherwise!
